ND
(she/her)
Dr. Teresa Neff is thrilled to join Ground Floor Health with nearly 20 years of experience as a Naturopathic Family Physician.
She has extensive experience in pediatric care, primary care and physical medicine. Dr. Teresa has a special interest in supporting neurodiverse children and adolescents. She is also an advocate for maternal health, as it often gets overlooked. She enjoys supporting mothers with anything from sleep and mood support to hormonal imbalances like post-partum depression, premenstrual dysphoric disorder, and perimenopause. In the physical medicine realm, Dr. Teresa’s tools include Craniosacral and Visceral Manipulation for infants and children as well as adults. She enjoys seeing the whole family for their individualized primary care needs and looks forward to meeting yours!
As a naturopathic primary care provider, she embraces the range of therapeutics, from diet and nutrition, herbal and nutrient supplementation to pharmaceuticals and vaccinations. Her treatment approach will often include somatic (body) work when indicated.
In life and in parenting, Dr. Teresa has found that mental and emotional health is intricately connected to physical health, and strives to empower her patients to honor this connection. She has also learned the importance of intuition in parenting and gained respect for the individual experience of parenting. She aims to tailor treatment plans to the particular needs of the child and family.
When she’s not working, Dr. Teresa is pursuing better health by being with her family, reading, and being outside. She believes her personal and professional experiences help her to be your advocate and educator in health.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
Dr. Teresa received her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in 2008. She then completed a two-year residency at The Kids Clinic and received supplementary education in lactation support from The Simkin Center and in classical homeopathy from New England School of Homeopathy. Her education was then furthered by having two sons, who have taught her countless lessons, especially about breastfeeding, feeding kids, neurodiversity, and how hard and amazing it is to be a parent.
